In-Home Acute Care

Expert Pediatric Care That Comes to You - Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays.

When the unexpected happens - a sudden fever, an earache, or a suspicious rash - you don't need a crowded waiting room. We provide same-day, in-home sick visits for your child’s most pressing needs, 7 days a week.

We are available for house-call acute care visits during peak "after-hours" and weekend times to keep your family out of the ER.

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Weekends & Holidays: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

We are equipped to handle a wide variety of acute pediatric needs in the comfort of your living room:

  • Illnesses: Ear infections, sore throats (Strep testing), fevers, coughs, and flu symptoms.
  • Minor Injuries: Scrapes, minor burns, and nursemaid's elbow.
  • Rashes & Skin: Eczema flare-ups, mysterious rashes, and bug bites.
  • Gut Health: Acute stomach bugs, dehydration checks, and constipation relief.
  • Newborn Concerns: Feeding issues, jaundice checks, or "just doesn't seem right" assessments.

  • Zero Waiting Rooms: Avoid the "waiting room soup" of germs. Your child stays resting in their own bed until the doctor arrives.
  • Unhurried Care: Unlike standard clinics that see 40 patients a day, our acute care visits are thorough. Dr. Ying takes the time to listen and look at the "root cause."
  • Integrative Approach: We combine traditional medical expertise with holistic recommendations for recovery, gut health support, and immune boosting.

  1. Contact Us: Call or text us at (720) 637-3144 to request a same-day visit. Please call or text after 7 am.
  2. Triage: We’ll do a quick over-the-phone assessment to ensure a house call or telehealth is the right level of care for your child.
  3. The Visit: Dr. Ying arrives at your door with all necessary diagnostic tools and testing kits.
  4. Follow-Up: You will receive a detailed care plan and a follow-up summary within 24 hours of the appointment.

What is not included in the home visit fee?

The visit fee covers the comprehensive exam, consultation time and in-home rapid tests; however, outside diagnostic services are not included. These services are billed separately by the providing facility or laboratory, and most can be billed directly to your insurance.

How are results for outside tests handled?

I personally monitor all external orders and will contact you directly to discuss the findings. You can expect a follow-up for STAT results as soon as they are released by the facility.

Is This an Emergency?

If your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, such as difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, or a severe allergic reaction, please call 911 immediately or proceed to the nearest Emergency Department.

Pricing and Service Areas

We believe that healthcare should be straightforward. To keep our services accessible and our focus on your child, Gentle Paths Pediatrics does not accept insurance. Instead, we offer a simple, flat-fee model for our mobile acute care visits. No surprise bills, no complex "Explanation of Benefits," and no hidden facility fees.

Acute Care Visit Fee
Mon – Fri: $225
Weekends & Holidays: $250
Telehealth: $100

This fee is per patient, per visit and includes:

  • The House Call: We bring the clinic to your living room, saving you the stress of travel and the exposure of a waiting room.
  • Unhurried Time: Every visit is scheduled to allow for deep listening and a thorough examination.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Basic on-site testing (such as Strep, Flu, or COVID-19 tests) is included in the flat fee when clinically indicated.
  • Integrated Care Plan: You’ll receive a personalized "Recovery Roadmap" that combines medical expertise with holistic support for your child’s immune and gut health.

* If you have more than one sick child, you can add them onto your scheduled visit for $125 per child, or $50 per child for telehealth.

Every acute care visit includes a 'Recovery Roadmap' - we don't just treat symptoms; we provide guidance on supporting your child's immune system and gut health long after the fever breaks.

How it works

Unlike our membership model, this is a flat-fee, deep-dive session. We spend 60 minutes reviewing history, labs, and lifestyle to provide a comprehensive "Holistic Blueprint."

  • Initial Consult (60 mins): $360
  • Follow-up visit (30 mins): $180
